About the Author

Bertram Kalisher is Executive Editor and a publisher of the magazines Chronos, and Watch and Jewelry Review. He is the director of the American Watch Guild. He began his career operating a retail jewelry store in Manhattan. In 1950 he formed Kalbe Company, importer and manufacturer of fine watch attachments. In 1960 he purchased the Hadley Watch Band Corporation and changed the company name to Hadley Kalbe Company.
